William Tyler


Retired in 2002 as Associate Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Charles Darwin University, following lectureship in Sociology in the United Kingdom Kent at Canterbury (1974-1984).  Honorary Research Fellow in the Centre for Education and Child Development in the Menzies School of Health Research, Charles Darwin University (2012-18. Contributed to the discipline of Sociology in an international context for a number of years, especially through books and articles in the fields of sociology of educational inequality and pedagogy, organisational sociology and criminology in Australia and United Kingdom. Currently statistsical consultant to the Enabling Engagement Project (2017-19), Academic Language and Literacy Group, Charles Dawin University.
